The William A. Presti Center for Families and Youth offers its services in Ann Arbor, Howell, Pinckney, and Brighton, Michigan and surrounding communities. A variety of counseling services are available to meet the needs of individuals and families with emotional and mental health problems.
At the William A. Presti Center for Families and Youth, family counseling focuses on strengthening comunication and utilizing problem solving skills between family members. Family counseling focuses on working with parents and children to determine areas that need improvement. By focusing on the strengths in the family, our counselors are able to help rebuild the positive aspects within the family unit. Healthy communication and unity are important for the success of the family.

The counseling professionals at the William A. Presti Center for Families and Youth, work with couples to restore communication and address specific relationship issues. At the WAP Center, a variety of counseling techniques are used for relationship and marriage counseling. Personal profiles are used to highlight individual strengths and increase awareness of the strengths in the marriage.
Counseling services are offered based on each couples' needs. Depending on the situation, counseling can be a short or long-term process. All couples will learn how to communicate, trust one another, and appreciate the strengths that each one brings to the relationship.
Individual Counseling (Adults, teens, and children)
The WIlliam A. Presti Center for Families and Youth offers individual counseling for anyone who is struggling mentally or emotionally.
The professional counselors at the WAP Center specialize in dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, adult ADD, co-dependency, chronic illness, family dysfunction, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
Counselors assist individuals with all emotional and mental health challenges that impact daily life. Whether an issue is large or small, the professionals at the WAP Center will help you learn how to deal with it and overcome mental, emotional, and psychological problems.
Our Therapists are trained to work with teens and children in addition to adults. We understand the challenges that teens face in our culture today. We develop a possitive rapport with youth and support them with whatever issue they are are struggling with. We are trained to deal with bullying, poor grades, anxiety, drepression, ADD, issues with family dynamics, anger, lack of motivation, and a variety of other emotional issues.
Our Therapists are trained to work with small children. Children deal with emotional issues differently than teens or adults. Our Therapists utilize creative approaches with children to help them cope with divorce, anxiety, abuse, trauma, depression, poor grades, family dynamics. We have counselors that understand how trauma affects small children. In addition, we have counselors that work with high functioning Aspergers. We truly care and want to help teens and children heal.
Coaching and Mentoring
Are you struggling with self-limiting beliefs and negative thoughts that interfere with your relationships and cause anxiety and low self-esteem? Our staff can help you develop new tools to help you improve your emotional well-being. The coaching relationship is based on the premise that you hold the power to change your life. It is the coach's job to help you stretch yourself to move beyond fear to self-fulfillment and personal growth. Coaching is not psychotherapy. It is a collaborative relationship that focuses on what you value in your life and setting life goals and achieving them.
